Top V Disappointing Games of 2015

The worst games of 2015

2015 is almost over and it's time to look back on all the crap that was release this year. Yes, we had some great games like The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt and Rocket League but some we so bad that many of us want to forget they ever existed. Some of us wish we didn't waste our money. Anyway here are our top five most disappointing games of 2015.

5. Evolve

Evolve,Turtle Rock Studios,Noobfeed,2k games,

Perhaps one of the controversial releases this year was Evolve. Right from the start the game saw scrutiny for it’s questionable take on microtranstions, releasing much of the content through paid DLC. It didn’t help that the game didn’t have a long longevity, with gamers quickly forgetting about the game weeks after it was released. It was fun to play as a powerful boss while being hunted by 4 warriors, but after a couple of hours you’ll quickly get bored of having to do the same thing over and over again with very little reason to continue playing.

4. Halo 5: Guardians

Halo 5,Guardians,Noobfeed,343 Industries,Microsoft,,

Despite the advertisements showcasing Master Chief as the new nemesis of the UNSC and a massive clash between the legendary warrior and newcomer Agent Locke, fans got something entirely different. A short campaign that barely touched on everything we were shown and heard with a multiplayer littered with microtranstions. While many praised the new gameplay mechanics overall Halo 5 felt more like a testing arena for these additions than a new installment in the Halo franchise. Unlockables relied more on luck than skill and, despite being a cooperative campaign, had no matchmaking option! Making a short campaign is one thing but not including a cooperative matchmaking option for a multiple focused campaign is bewildering.

3. The Order 1886

The Order 1886,Sony,Noobfeed,Ready at Dawn, SCE Santa Monica Studio,

Instead of playing The Order 1886 just watch a playthrough of the game on YouTube. Essentially it's the same experience as playing the game, best of all you won’t have the disappointing feeling of buyers regret.

2. Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 5

Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 5,Noobfeed,Activision,Robomodo, Disruptive Games,

If you thought Ride to Hell was bad check out Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 5. This game was a disaster, not only for the bland environments and simple missions but the myriad of technical issues. This game was unplayable when it released, so much so that I refused to review it and demanded my money back.

1. Star Wars: Battlefront

Star Wars: Battlefront,Noobfeed,DICE,EA,

A game many wanted and assumed it would never less but spectacular, unfortunately like many other games on this list it was unfinished. Coming from acclaimed developer DICE many hoped for a game that would adhere to DICE’s pervious works. Star Wars: Battlefront had no single-player campaign, only 6 heroes to play as, very little customizable options, no focus on team based combat and a slow progression system. Worst of all the season pass, which cost $50, has been viewed as an extortion attempt to funnel more money from players during this year of Star Wars. If you want to play a better Star Wars: Battlefront game go play Battlefront 4 or download a Star Wars mod for Battlefield.
