Crytek Teasing New Game

Crytek, known for the Crysis series, has been working actively on their new game Hunt: Showdown. However, the studio may have big plans for the dormant franchise, teasing a new project apparently.

Over on the official Twitter account a message stating "RECEIVING DATA" was released. This could mean many things, a rerelease of the original games or a new title.

My guess is a rerelease as EA does own the IP and all things considered, may not want to invest entirely in a new game. As they already have large shooters like Battlefield V, Anthem, Star Wars Battlefront 2, and Apex Legends active and having another competing title would not be wise. I could be wrong as Crytek did state they were working on a new AAA game but that was with Improbable.

We will have to wait and see.
