Assassin's Creed Valhalla had a big gameplay reveal during Ubisoft Forward 2020. With the developers showing off the variety of combat and exploration being developed. Along with a release date of November 17th.
Assassin's Creed Valhalla will feature the same choice-based systems found in Assassin's Creed Odyssey. With players deciding the fate of several characters as they journey through England. With optional quests often appearing as you explore the environment and build up your raiding party.
The biggest change is combat and weapons. You can now dual-wield any weapon, including shields. With enemies now taking full advantage of the environment to throw objects and sometimes even bodies. Enemies are much smarter, using distinct tactics based on their class and the player is granted more options on how to tackle situations. With bloody finishing moves if you wish to take direct routes.
The siege battles look like something out of Middle-earth: Shadow of War with the player diving into multiple sections of an enemy base while taking out powerful guards.
Assassin's Creed Valhalla launches on November 17th for PS4, PC, Xbox One, and Stadia. Next-generation versions will arrive on the consoles launch date.
