Ninja Gaiden: Master Collection will launch this June 10th and bring back one of the most acclaimed and difficult games in history. However, many wondered why certain versions of Ninja Gaiden were left out. In a recent interview with Famitsu Fumihilko Yasuda explained it was due to the code being unsalvagable.

The original code for a game when doing a remastered is essential as those familiar with how Silent Hill HD Collection turned out. Without it, developers will have to recreate much of the game while trying to remain to the original design. This may squash hope for those hoping that these versions would be added through DLC or a patch.

As for the future of the series, Yasuda expressed interest in doing a sequel. Yaiba: Ninja Gaiden was the final game in the series to launch back in 2014 to poor reception. So if a new game were to release many would hope the series will repeat the formula from the trilogy.

Ninja Gaiden: Master Collection launches this June 10th for PC, Xbox One, PS4, and Switch.
