Included in the last batch of Greenlit games, Earth: Year 2066 is an open-world, role-playing game with RPG elements, inspired by the Fallout series and Half-LIfe 2. A nuclear war between the United States and China has mutated people into half zombies, requiring players to get to the safe place, called "God's House."
Staying alive calls for players to search the environment for food and armor to maximize health, weapons to increase skills and other items for crafting. Earth: Year 2066 features single and multiplayer modes, with the developers recently revealing screenshots from a section of the multiplayer mode. Check them out below.
In Earth: Year 2066, there will be two multiplayer game modes: classic team deathmatch and survival mode. Classic team deathmatch will allow for "a lot of players," however, the developers did not expand on how many a lot is. Survivor mode will include NPCs, with survival and exploration elements being the main components of the mode.
"Both game modes will have one big game world but with completely different experiences," say the developers and "It's a really great experience to play with friends." Content for early access is currently in the works, with gameplay videos expected next month.
Earth: Year 2066 will be available for early access on March 15 via Steam, with no official release date announced as of yet.
