Jonathan Morin, Creative Director of Watch Dogs, has already spoken about improvements in a possible sequel in the past. Explaining that the first game wasn’t “perfect in anyway” with some gameplay mechanics not working out as they’d planned.

This shouldn’t come as a surprise as Ubisoft has stated that the company isn’t interested in developing games that couldn't become a franchise. Meaning that a sequel to Watch Dogs was enviable.

Watch Dogs launched on PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, Xbox One and PC in early 2014 after being delayed, with a Wii U version releasing later in 2014. The game received fickle reviews, with critics praising the hacking gameplay mechanics but annoyed by the lack of diversity in the story missions, poor characters and lifeless city.
