Nintendo Files DMCA to Takedown Fan Made Metroid II Remake

Back in 1986 on August 6th gamers were exposed to one of the greatest games of all time, Metroid. Samus Aran, the vanguard of female protagonists till this day, first adventure to take down the space pirates of planet Zebes. It's been thirty years since that adventure and despite Nintendo forgetting this franchise's anniversary fans attempted to celebrate Samus' 30th birthday with a remake of the Space Bounty Hunter's most acclaimed adventure.
Called AM2R this remake features Metroid II: Return of Samus, which was remade for the Game Boy Advance as Metroid: Zero Mission, is live for now. Nintendo has filed a takedown but the host of the site have made the file available for torrent download, which makes it harder to remove.
