Those lucky enough to get a SNES Classic today will probably want to jump into Star Fox 2 right away, however, you can't. The game requires you to play through the first game.
You only have to clear the first stage of Star Fox to unlock the sequel, which is acceptable. Considering this is the unreleased sequel to the original SNES getting a mini-introduction to the acclaimed dogfighting franchise isn't bad.
