Ghost of Tsushima is an open-world action game set during in feudal Japan, 1274, during the Mongol Empire's invasion. Players will attempt to fight back against the Mongol Empire as the last surviving samurai, and no it's not Tom Cruise. Sucker Punch highlighted that players will have choices and no waypoint will be given, instead, options will play a major role in this game.

"The year is 1274. Samurai warriors are the legendary defenders of Japan--until the fearsome Mongol Empire invades the island of Tsushima, wreaking havoc and conquering the local population. As one of the last surviving samurai, you rise from the ashes to fight back. But, honorable tactics won't lead you to victory. You must move beyond your samurai traditions to forge a new way of fighting--the way of the Ghost--as you wage an unconventional war for the freedom of Japan."

Sucker Punch's last game, inFamous: Second Son, received positive reviews for providing a great example of the power of the PS4, lush destructive open-world, and powers to use. According to creative/art director, Jason Connell, during the Ghost of Tsushima interview, the company has been working on this title since the release of inFamous: Second Son stated that the studio "if we are going to depart from inFamous, like, it's gotta be awesome and what is the process to get there". Perhaps this is the end for the inFamous series from Sucker Punch.

No release date has been given but we'll most likely see more footage at E3 2018.
