Overwatch Winter Update Coming December 12th Introduces New Mode Starring Mei

Overwatch's long-awaited Winter Wonderland update is coming this December 12th.

In celebration Overwatch director, Jeff Kaplan made the announcement in a new update video detailing the timed event. It'll include new skins, timed mode, and winter-themed levels. Kaplan did confirm that Roadhog, Junkrat, and Hanzo will get a new skin with more coming.

Mei's Global Snowball Offensive will come to the Black Forest arena map as well as Anarticia. A new event called Mei's Yeti Hunt where 5 Mei's fight 1 Winston, played by 1 player, similar to Evolved where the job of the Meis is to eliminate the Winston the Yeti. It takes place in Nepal Village where Winston must find powerups to gain his Primal Rage to attack. Mei will gain a new Ice Trap ability to fend off the enraged Winston.

Overwatch is now available for Xbox One, PS4, and PC.
