If you've played a Bethesda game chances you've heard of Todd Howard. The director and executive producer of Bethesda Game Studios who led the development of multiple installments in the Fallout and The Elder Scrolls series. Today The New York Videogame Critics Circle has confirmed that Todd Howard will receive the Andrew Yoon Legend Award at this year's New York Game Awards.
"Howard thinks deeply about the player experience, everything from the right way to begin a quest to how a free mobile game can enhance the play of the bigger console adventure. Ultimately, Todd thinks it’s all about the fan, and that’s the way it always should be."
Since joining Bethesda Softworks in 1994 Todd Howard has been responsible for some of the best video games in both sales and critical acclaim. Howard was named "Best Game Director" by the Academy of Interactive Arts and Sciences in 2012. In 2014, he received the Lara of Honor, Germany's lifetime achievement award for gaming.
