Rumor: Spyro Trilogy Remaster in the Works for PS4

Crash Bandicoot N.Sane Trilogy was a massive success and rumors are circulating that another forgotten Activision mascot may return in a remastered trilogy as well. Spyro the Dragon, created by Insomniac Games, may return on the PS4.

This information comes from Kotaku UK with a release year Q3 2018 and an announcement coming March 2018. According to the report, Vicarious Visions, who also handled the Crash Bandicoot N.Sane Trilogy, will be developing the trilogy for PS4. 

The project will consist of new lighting, animations, cinematics, and assets with a remastered soundtrack. It'll include Spyro the Dragon, Ripto's Rage, and Year of the Dragon but cut content from the original games.

All things considered, this would be another smash hit as similar to Crash Bandicoot Spyro has a massive following. The games were a huge success on the original PlayStation and are widely considered some of the best platformers of its generation.
