News by Grayshadow on Mar 02, 2018
Tom Clancy's The Division had a difficult launch, similar to Rainbow Six Siege, due to the game suffering from server issues and mediocre reviews. However, Ubisoft added new content over time, well past the season pass conclusion, to keep existing gamers playing and newcomers enticed to join. Now the game 2 years old and Ubisoft Massive confirmed that over 20 million gamers have played The Division.
The figure was provided in celebration of Tom Clancy's The Division's 2nd anniversary with the development team planning online activities to commemorate the occasion. From March 1st to the 29th there will be 1 global event per week including modifiers to existing activities. Those who watch the official Twitch channel will be eligible for special rewards this month, that will automatically unlock for watching at least 30 minutes of the stream. Be sure to link your Twitch and Ubisoft accounts to get them.
From the record-breaking pre-launch beta to the Underground, Survival, and Last Stand expansions to the nine major free updates, The Division has continued to evolve and entice new fans into its ranks. "We are very proud of what we have achieved during these past 2 years. Listening and giving back to the community has always been our first objective and we would like to thank all The Division players for their valuable feedback and their support," said Julian Gerighty, Creative Director.
Tom Clancy’s The Division is available now for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
