God of War Goes Gold

God of War is finished and ready for production. Today Santa Monica announced that the game has officially gone gold.

Over on Twitter Creative Director, Cory Barlog confirmed the news.

God of War is gold, baby.! Thank you to every wonderful human who worked so hard to make this happen. Neither word nor emoji can express the love i have for you all. 🙠Next stop, April 20th!!!

In a recent video, Cory Barlog also explained how this version of Kratos would expose more about his humanity than any other entry.

God of War launches on April 20th for PS4.
