Spyro the Dragon Remake Teased

For months Activision has been teasing the gaming community about the remake of Spyro the Dragon for modern consoles. Giving the PlayStation icon the same makeover as Crash Bandicoot but have yet to confirm the game.  IGN associate news editor, Jonathon Dornbush, was mailed what appears to be a purple dragon egg and a note “Something’s about to hatch.” The note is signed by someone named “Falcon McBob,” which just so happens to be the name of the unverified Twitter account with the handle @SpyroTheDragon.

This isn't an official confirmation but it appears to be the closest thing to a Spyro reveal. Considering the original trilogy was a PlayStation exclusive it's likely the game will follow the same tread as Crash Bandicoot N.Sane Trilogy. Releasing on PlayStation 4 first before coming to other platforms.

The Spyro the Dragon remakes are rumored to be in development for unspecified consoles.
