Red Dead Redemption 2 Sells More Copies Than Red Dead Redemption In 8 Days

It was already confirmed that Red Dead Redemption 2 was one of the most successful entertainment products of all time but that wasn't enough. Now we've learned that it sold better than the previous game in just 8 days.

According to a Take-Two financial report, the publisher explained:

“Red Dead Redemption II sold-in more units in its first eight days than the original blockbuster Red Dead Redemption sold in its first eight years and, as of today, the title has sold-in over 17 million units worldwide,” 

This is insane news considering that the game’s online mode, Red Dead Online, hasn’t launched. Imagine how big these numbers will become when the game eventually comes to PC and microtransactions are added?

Red Dead Redemption II is now available for PS4 and Xbox One.
