The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild Expansion Pass Confirmed

Weeks after the release of The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, producer Eiji Aonuma announced that the game would include an expansion pass.

The pass will cost $19.99 and include:

3 New Treasure Chests

• Found in the Great Plateau
• Contains Useful Items
• Includes exclusive in-game clothing

DLC Pack 1

• Adds new Cave of Trials challenge
• New Hard Mode
• Additional Map Feature

DLC Pack 2

• New original story
• New dungeon
• Additional challenges

The Expansion Pass will go on sale the day of The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild's release. It will be distributed twice in the summer and again at the end of the year. No specific dates were given.

The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild launches on March 3rd for Nintendo Switch and Wii U. It'll be the final first-party Wii U game.
