After Breath of the Wild launches Nintendo won't be making anymore first-party Wii U games

Nintendo is done developing first-party games for the Wii U after The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild.
Speaking with Polygon, Nintendo of American President Reggie Fils-Aime stated:
“From a first-party standpoint, there's no new development coming after the launch of the legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild,” he said. “We really are at the end of life for Wii U.”
This doesn't mean that the Wii U is dead. Nintendo plans to continue offering online and third-party support and selling the system through eShops.
Reggie Fils-Aime touches on how Nintendo learned from the mistakes of the Wii U, stating that with the Switch, people will know what it is or at least think it is.
The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild launches on Wii U and Nintendo Switch on March 3rd. The Nintendo Switch launches the same day.
