In Date Everything, you'll encounter one of the most unique romance options in gaming: Cam, a trash can with personality. This unconventional character offers a challenging but rewarding relationship path that requires careful navigation of his particular preferences and sensitivities.

Understanding Cam's nature and knowing how to approach him properly will help you unlock all possible endings with this surprisingly complex character.

How To Meet Cam

You can interact with Cam in two different rooms that have trash cans: the kitchen and your office. The one in the kitchen is located next to the sink, and the other one is positioned next to your desk.

You can interact with both alternately during your playthrough to get the love ending without encountering any issues.

How To Evolve Your Relationship With Cam

Cam has very specific preferences that you need to understand to build a successful relationship with him. He likes trash above all else, but he dislikes whatever this game represents to him.

Cam presents a tough challenge because he doesn't appreciate small talk, and he gets triggered as soon as he hears trash-related terms said negatively.

While throwing garbage and describing it in the nastiest way possible is always a good way of winning him over, whenever you're talking about anything else, you'll feel like you're annoying him. It's like you're only one word from being hated by him.

To avoid that fateful end, unless you're specifically looking for it, always be very mindful of the dialogue choices that have words like "waste," "trash," and similar ones with a demeaning adjective.

Sometimes the game will trick you and show you only bad options to make Cam angry, but as long as you don't get under his nerves more than twice, you can still save the relationship.

Love Ending

As you make your best effort to be liked by Cam, no matter how well you do, you'll eventually get into a situation where he opens up about how he's seen by others and what he feels about himself.

He comments on this in a very sad way, full of frustration. After this conversation, it might seem like it's over for you, but you still have a chance to turn things around.

Rest for a day, and interact with any trash can one more time. You'll get the chance to apologize to him, and Cam will accept it, even if he's a bit surprised at first.

Tell him about your love feelings, then you can raise the temperature very quickly by choosing options like "Would it be so bad if I love you?" and "Let's do it. Let's get trashy," and he will be ready to go with you.

Friendship Ending

Follow the same route as the love ending, but after apologizing, you can change the love tone to a more friendly one, and he'll be satisfied with that approach. This provides a more platonic but still meaningful connection with Cam.

Hate Ending

If you want to achieve the hate ending, use all the options that you see that speak badly of trash, and try to be as annoying as you can by attempting to chat with him about anything else.

However, avoid using the SPECS check of Empathy 80, as this should not be used for this ending path. He will be ready to hate you after he opens up about his feelings.

SPECS Reward

No matter what ending you achieve with Cam, he rewards you with five points in Poise, making the relationship worthwhile from a gameplay perspective, regardless of which path you choose to pursue.
