Far Cry 3 Monologue

I can be the difference, the saviour, that the people cry out for.

Do you want to stab a guy from behind, then swiftly his partner and throw the second enemies knife into the chest of the third and last enemy who is rushing towards you, to complete a thought out triple silent kill?

I didn't. I just wanted to go on an adventure but those are the skills I picked up when I visited rook island... I learnt to survive... I am Jason Brody, this is my story.

It started as all fun and games, me, my two brothers and a few friends got captured and separated. My older brother, Grant and I were strung up, I didn't know what to do.

Grant, having served his country was prepared for all outcomes and was always my rock, I lost him that night during our escape, Vaas, that Insane murdering psychopath, biggest mistake he made was giving me 30 seconds.

There was no where to run, the island was under criminal control, I had to find my little brother and my friends.

For Grant, I wish I was stronger!

The natives took me in, their real intentions, I'm not sure but I didn't care, they would provide the tools I needed to free my friends, I was willing to learn and learn to become a hunter I did.

After a few successful attempts in overpowering these pirates and slave traders, I began to realise the island was alive and trying to help those in need, not those who want. Problem was, I'm not the only thing in this place doing the hunting.

Not always a bad thing mind, when out of ammo, hiding and plotting to kill the remaining enemy with my Machete to complete taking the base, a Bear, a freaking Bear, out of nowhere takes him out.

Being chased by Tigers and Komodo Dragons ain't fun though. Don't forget the dangers in the sea too, look before you leap... Heed my words or risk perishing with all those I'm going to take out.

My lust for blood and new heights grow, I learn to kill in new ways, enough to conquer my foes and my fears. While finding what I came here for.

It quickly became about revenge for all the pain and suffering, I can be the difference, the saviour, that the people cry out for.

I will kill them all but I must not forget Why I started this rampage. I'm not leaving without you or I'm not leaving.

  • It's good writing but good luck making a video out of it.

  • Thank you, I don't believe I'll be commissioned to make the video either... I'm glad you enjoyed it and I hope others will too... And you never know. : )

  • @xC4Lx I've never been much of a monologue person, but I kinda enjoyed yours. Hope you write more in the future.

  • Felt like a bit of rushed writing in the end but a nice poetic composition nonetheless.

  • @Naomi Thank you for the feedback, I agree the ending feels rushed.
Improving, one small step at a time. Thanks.

  • @xC4Lx May be I was a little harsh for a first timer. But it didn't seem like your first piece though. Felt like you write these often. However, you should write reviews or blogs where it's easy for us to give feedback and yours to improve quickly.

  • @Naomi Please be as harsh as you feel the need to be, I can take it. Strange you know I've never written anything before NBFD though, one may even say a little suspect. Lol

However, your wish is my command... New blog awaiting your review : )

  • @xC4Lx First I thought you meant the anniversary thingy, but then I realized it was the Superman blog. Nice work out there.
