With a multitude of great games being released towards the latter part of 2012 I thought I'd compile a list of some of the specific things I'm looking forward to from a few of those titles in the coming months. Now this list may not appease everyone as it's catered predominantly to my personal preferences, but hopefully that opens up the door for a little discussion on the stuff you can't wait to get your hands on before the year is out. So without further ado -

Over 50 Playable Characters (Tekken Tag Tournament 2)

7 Games, 7 Things, 2012 Fall, Tekken Tag Tournament 2, Call of Duty, Black Ops II, F1 2012, PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale, FIFA Soccer 13, Worms: Revolution, Assassin's Creed III

Whether you're a fan of the series or not, I'm sure you can appreciate the mouth-watering prospect of picking up a fighting game and having that many differing characters and fighting styles at your beckoned call, and being able to pair them up in ways that pave over any potential weaknesses, thus allowing you to maximize their strengths. The returning Kunumitsu is a personal favourite and one of the original members of the lineup from the first Tekken. I just hope I can cause as much devastation now against online foes as I did against my friends almost two decades ago.

Multi-Team Deathmatch (Call of Duty: Black Ops II)

7 Games, 7 Things, 2012 Fall, Tekken Tag Tournament 2, Call of Duty, Black Ops II, F1 2012, PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale, FIFA Soccer 13, Worms: Revolution, Assassin's Creed III

It's certainly not the first first-person shooter to introduce this mode, but it is a first for the series and being a personal fan of the Call of Duty games for as long as I can remember it's an addition that whets the appetite. I can just envisage the chaos that will come from this heightened level of tactics from four teams all vying for the same flag or Domination capture point. I'm already concocting some pretty sick class setups and Scorestreak combinations that will turn the tide in my teams favour and it's now just a matter of time before I unleash them on many unsuspecting victims.

Young Driver Test (F1: 2012)

7 Games, 7 Things, 2012 Fall, Tekken Tag Tournament 2, Call of Duty, Black Ops II, F1 2012, PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale, FIFA Soccer 13, Worms: Revolution, Assassin's Creed III

This appears to be the stand-out feature from this year's installment and puts you in the shoes of a rookie with your sole purpose being to drive well and make a name for yourself in the sport. I personally love the route they've chosen to take on this and it will hopefully reflect the real-world trials and tribulations of trying to get selected as one of the rare few who win a drive with a team. That's part and parcel of why I play the Formula One games to imagine those sorts of scenarios in my head and this year doing that just got a little easier.

Sackboy (PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale)

7 Games, 7 Things, 2012 Fall, Tekken Tag Tournament 2, Call of Duty, Black Ops II, F1 2012, PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale, FIFA Soccer 13, Worms: Revolution, Assassin's Creed III

Sure there are plenty of reasons to get excited for Sony's take on the ever-popular Super Smash Bros. series, but for me stepping into the arena as the loveable stitched miscreant will be worth the price of admission alone. I can't wait to jump and navigate around the maps, dropping and changing obstacles to trip up opponents. His Level 3 Super Attack, which will be his most powerful asset, turns everyone into Prize Bubbles that he can collect for kills and is a great feature to implement from the LittleBigPlanet series, in my opinion, and one I can't wait to try for myself.

Attacking Intelligence (FIFA Soccer 13)

7 Games, 7 Things, 2012 Fall, Tekken Tag Tournament 2, Call of Duty, Black Ops II, F1 2012, PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale, FIFA Soccer 13, Worms: Revolution, Assassin's Creed III

The one feature that kept me firmly planted on the Pro Evo side of the fence was its superb off-the-ball intelligence system, where players would, manipulate space and make well-timed runs, but judging by early gameplay impressions of EA's latest crowd-pleaser they have seemingly matched it and give me one more reason to climb on over and see what all the fuss is about. Not only that but combined with yet more improvements to their Player Impact Engine this could well be the most realistic and unpredictable football game ever and that's something I certainly want to be a part of.

Extra Classes (Worms: Revolution)

7 Games, 7 Things, 2012 Fall, Tekken Tag Tournament 2, Call of Duty, Black Ops II, F1 2012, PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale, FIFA Soccer 13, Worms: Revolution, Assassin's Creed III

I've been a lover of Worms ever since its conception and have owned pretty much every game since. Not that I needed an excuse to buy the next one, but the fact that it now has four types of Worms to choose from Soldier, Scout, Scientist and Heavy all with their own sets of abilities, characteristics and tech know-how it's an exciting endeavor.. The beautiful 3D landscapes and character modeling are also a major plus point and will make blowing your friends to smithereens via flying Sheep and exploding granny's all the more gratifying.

It's Assassin's Creed III (Assassin's Creed III)

7 Games, 7 Things, 2012 Fall, Tekken Tag Tournament 2, Call of Duty, Black Ops II, F1 2012, PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale, FIFA Soccer 13, Worms: Revolution, Assassin's Creed III

Need there be any more reason to warrant the purchase of this game? Even if I didn't know anything about the fifth entry in the series I'd still know that it's going to be bigger and better than all that has gone before it, have a greater selection of missions to complete, a larger arsenal of weapons and be visually more stunning than its predecessors already being dubbed as a game that looks next-gen. The game takes place between the time of the American Revolution and present day, but it could be set solely in my parents shed and I'd still buy it.

So what games and game-specific thing's are you anticipating towards the end of this year? Do any from your list match my own? Let me know, I'd love to hear from you.
