Best Games of 2018 So Far

The best games released this year

By Grayshadow, Posted 23 Apr 2018

We've yet to reach the mid-point of 2018 but have already seen so many great games released this year. Each one exceeding expectations and getting gamers excited for what is yet to come. Here are the best games of 2018 so far.

Dragon Ball FighterZ

Creating a game set in the Dragon Ball universe isn't easy. The intense high-speed combat is difficult to translate into a video game but somehow the developers at Arc System Works succeeded. In Dragon Ball FighterZ players can take part in battles that capture the insanity found in the popular anime. With planet destroying blast, light-speed movements, and bright colorful animations. Shockingly the game caters to both newcomers and veteran fighting game fans as the combat system allow for newbies to perform extraordinarily hard combos but has enough depth that seasoned fighting gamers can distinguish themselves.

Monster Hunter: World,NoobFeed,Capcom,

Monster Hunter: World

Monster Hunter: World shows how to provide a live service game right. A complete experience with increasingly difficult monsters to face in a densely populated world full of wonders waiting to be explored this franchise has grown incredibly since its launch. Teeming with exotic creatures, each requiring specific tactics to defeat and an array of powerful items to unlock Monster Hunter: World draws you in and never let's go. Once you begin your first hunt it'll be hard to stop playing.

Shadow of the Colossus PS4

A rerelease of the 2005 release, Bluepoint Games successfully remastered this legendary game with modern visuals providing those who've yet to play this masterpiece and those who have the chance to re-experience this tale of love. Identical to the original in terms of gameplay Shadow of the Colossus PS4 proves that excellent game design that beat the test of time.

God of War,NoobFeed,Santa Monica,Sony,

God of War

Recently released for the PlayStation 4 God of War is a smash hit. With near perfect scores, Santa Monica has revitalized the original conception of Kratos and delivered a deeply emotional tale that showcases the Spartan brute in a more human light. Coupled with a rich world full of optional content, amazing boss fights, outstanding dialogue, and a soundtrack God of War delivers one of the best single-player adventures of this year.

Far Cry 5

The Far Cry franchise has generally followed a specific formula since the debut of Far Cry 3.  A tyrannical figure has taken hold and it's up to you to stop them. However, the way this tale is told separates each game thanks to strong antagonists who provide solid performances. Each one of the Seed family in Far Cry 5 could easily be a central antagonist in their own game, with distinct personalities that create an unnerving tension when in direct contact with any one of them.

Kirby Star Allies,NoobFeed,Nintendo,

Kirby Star Allies

Kirby Star Allies isn't an emotional tale or a challenging game, but it's a purely entertaining adventure. Whereas some games try to win gamers over with enchanting tales and elaborate characters Kirby Star Allies is a simply fun game. Full of colorful worlds that take advantage of the various powers at Kirby's disposal and the friends you make throughout the game it's hard not to get lost while playing. While most gamers won't have much difficulty getting past the game's various levels it delivers all the best aspects of an adventure game.
