Mick Gordon May Not Return for DOOM Eternal's Sequel
Mick Gordon doubts he'll work on the next DOOM title
News by Grayshadow on Apr 20, 2020
DOOM Eternal was a smash hit. Fans and critics loved the campaign as it provided the same incredible fast-pace FPS action as the 2016 title along with lots of information about the world of DOOM. Mick Gordon's work on DOOM Eternal was constantly praised and his music has become synonymous with the DOOM franchise but in a recent post on Reddit, Gordon may not return for the next game.
This has many fans devastated as the soundtrack for DOOM Eternal was one of the most positively received elements in the game. However, Gordon did use the word "doubt" so it's possible he'll return for the next game. With Gordon's work the DOOM franchise would lose a large part of its identity.
DOOM Eternal is now available for PC, Xbox One, PS4, and Stadia. The second season has begun with new unlocks available.
