Pokemon Sword and Shield Expansion Pass Release Date Confirmed

Today The Pokemon Company released a brand new trailer for the Pokemon Sword and Shield Expansion Pass. The trailer showed off more of the Isle of Armor, and The Crown Tundra. However, the most important detail from the trailer was the release date for the Expansion Pass, which is set to be June 17.

The Pokemon Sword and Shield Expansion Pass gives you access to both expansions. The first of these Isle of Armor, will launch on June 17, meaning that there’s barely any time to wait until you can set foot in this new area. 

Many of the story details for Isle of Armor were already known, but now we have a few brand new Pokemon to gawk at until the expansion pass launches. 

First we have Regeleki, an Electric Type Legendary Pokemon with a bottomless supply of power. 

Then there’s Regidrago, a Dragon Type Legendary Pokemon who looks a lot like a dragon’s skull, and can summon immense energy. 

Galarian Slowbro was also revealed in the trailer. This is a Galarian version of a beloved Pokemon, one that many players will be eager to get their hands on.

Finally, while there were new Gigantamax forms revealed, they pale in comparison to the three new Galarian versions of the original Legendary Pokemon birds, Articuno, Moltres, and Zapdos. Any fans of the original Pokemon games are sure head for these new Legendaries first.
