Life is Strange was a major hit for narrative-driven choice-based games but developer Dontnod has another project in the works. Revealed back in 2018 Twin Mirrors has been in the background while the developer released Life is Strange 2. With a new story trailer now available.
The story follows a 33-year old man named Sam and is set in the town of Basswood, West Virginia. While attending a funeral Sam experiences a difficult breakup that causes Sam to fall into depression.
The E3 2018 trailer showed Sam crossing a void-like experience as he re-discovers himself. Attempting to move through the memories he left behind in Basswood but to do so must dig them up. With the new trailer showing that Sam is actively being targeted by someone while he tries to uncover these secrets. The game's trailer seems like a cross between Twin Peaks and Alan Wake.
There's no release date for Twin Mirrors but it looks like it'll carry the same intensity found in the developer's Life is Strange series.
Twin Mirror has no official release date but will launch for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
