An end of year interview with Japanese magazine Famitsu confirmed that development for both Bayonetta 3 and Project G.G is going well.
Platinum Games founder Hideki Kamiya had this to say about the development process:
“First off, many people are worried about Bayonetta 3 considering there hasn’t been any new information since its announcement, but verifications of new systems have been going great and development is going very well, so please wait with peace of mind."
The developer also illuminated the current state of Project G.G - a title we still know very little about which was announced in February this year.
Speaking on the game, Hideki Kamiya said that development for the game "has finally started moving".
The promotional website for the game provides a teaser trailer, and Kamiya himself stated that:
"Project G.G. is different. Unlike any of the games we’ve made so far, it’s going to be a 100% PlatinumGames title. For everything from its setting and characters, to its game design and story, to how it’s promoted – PlatinumGames is in full control."
With other projects such as Babylon's Fall continuing to progress well, next year should be an exciting time for the studio.
