Ubisoft Massive And Lucasfilm Games Reveal Brand New Star Wars Game

EA no longer exclusive makers of Star Wars video games

8 years ago EA became the sole publisher of Star Wars video games. What followed was the rushed Star Wars Battlefront, the loot box gambling alert system that is Star Wars Battlefront 2, but also acclaimed titles such as Star Wars Jedi Fallen Order and Star Wars Squadrons. Now Ubisoft is taking the mantle with Lucasfilm Games revealing a new project with Ubisoft Massive.

Star Wars,NoobFeed,

This doesn't mean that EA will stop making Star Wars games as the partnership will continue. Hinting that Star Wars Jedi Fallen Order and Star Wars Squadrons will continue but not mention of Star Wars Battlefront.

Continuing the relationship that resulted in the reinvigorated Battlefront series, the critically-acclaimed Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order, and multiplayer hit Star Wars: Squadrons, Electronic Arts will too play a big role in the future of Star Wars gaming. “We’re really proud of the games we have created with EA,” Reilly says. “We will continue working with them and our relationship has never been stronger. While we may not have a lot of details to share at the moment, we’ve got a number of projects underway with the talented teams at EA.”

As for Ubisoft Massive, many know these people as the developers behind The Division. So there's a lot of experience with weapons, RPG elements, and more.

As of now, there's no information about the title. Ubisoft is notorious for its open-world games so many may expect the same from this new project. Seeing that EA is no longer the sole creator of Star Wars games is a breath of fresh air. Despite the recent positive releases many still remember how Star Wars Battlefront and its sequel launched.
