A Plague Tale: Innocence was a massive hit when it launched and a sequel was recently confirmed. To celebrate Asobo Studios has announced that an Xbox Series and PS5 updated version will arrive this July 6th, along with a Switch Cloud version.
Those who own PS4 and Xbox One versions will get the upgrade for free. The next-gen version will include 4K UHD, 60FPS, and 3D audio support. The Switch version will only be available through the Cloud similar to Control.
A Plague Tale: Innocence stars Amicia de Rune and her brother Hugo in 1348 during the Hundred Years' War. After their family was slaughter by the Inquisition the brother and sister go on the run trying to avoid the hordes of plague rates that devour everything on site. Slowly the player will find out that Hugo has a strange ability that the Inquisition wants.
A Plague Tale: Innocence is now available for PS4, Xbox One, and PC. A Plague Tale: Requiem launches in 2022 for Xbox Series, PS5, Switch, and PC.
