Many remember Ken Levine for the incredible BioShock franchise but after the release of BioShock Infinite the studio, Irrational Games rebranded as Ghost Story Games and has been developing something. According to a Bloomberg report the game has been in development hell.
According to the report, the game has been suffering due to a "flawed manager".
Just as critics grant Levine credit for the artistry of his games, many Ghost Story employees readily blame him for their tortured project. Levine is a flawed manager who often struggles to communicate his vision and alienates or browbeats subordinates who challenge him or fail to meet his expectations, say current and former employees, most of whom requested anonymity because they feared repercussions.
The report goes on to state that Levine is granted a lot more power given his reputation with the BioShock franchise's creation. That Take-Two Interactive, which owns Ghost Story Games, is willing to give Levine more freedom as he has delivered in the past. The report ends with an employee stating the game is still 2 years away.
Currently, a new game in the BioShock franchise is in development from Cloud Chamber that is supposedly set on the surface world where ADAM and all of Rapture's technology have made it to the surface.
