Dying Light 2 launches soon and while getting a next-generation system is still difficult due to scalpers Techland's upcoming game will be available for last-generation systems. And if you wish to upgrade it'll be totally free.

Dying Light 2,NoobFeed,

PlayStation owners simply have to download the PS5 version of the game through the console. Xbox owners will gain access through Smart Delivery and get to play Dying Light 2 on next-generation. With companies like Sony who are charging for upgrades, it's excellent seeing Techland provide consumer-friendly practices. In addition, Techland has promised to support Dying Light 2 for 5 years minimum and considering the company supported the first game for multiple years it's safe to believe them.

If you and your friends happen to have different consoles Techland is going the extra mile, cross-play and cross-generation have been confirmed. This won't be available at launch but eventually, players will be available to players with friends from other platforms, this includes Steam and Epic Games Store users. Considering how complicated this is waiting a bit is probably best. Multiplayer will be available in the core game though but limited to specific console platforms.

Dying Light 2 Stay Human will launch on February 4, 2022, on PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. The Switch version will launch later this year.
