Google Stadia Exclusive GYLT Becomes Multiplatform In 2023
Tequila Works' horror adventure outlives Google's streaming service
News by AlexJohn on Oct 07, 2022
When Google Stadia was released in 2019 it was supposed to revolutionize the gaming landscape, becoming the first in a new generation of cloud-based video game streaming platforms. The platform never really stuck the landing and, on 29th September 2022, it was announced that Google Stadia would be shutting down as of January 2023.
GYLT was Google Stadia's first exclusive title and, with the streaming services' imminent closure, Spanish developers Tequila Works have made the decision to release GYLT on other platforms.
Tequila Works (whose previous titles include Rime and The Sexy Brutale) describes GYLT as "an eerie story mixing fantasy and reality in a surrealist place". The game is a third-person puzzle adventure game about a young girl called Sally. While searching for her missing cousin, Sally enters a "creepy and mechanical world" home to monsters and nightmares.
GYLT will be coming to multiple platforms in 2023.
