When Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder’s Revenge was released last June, turtle fans were eating good. Shredder’s Revenge when on to become a massive hit, along with the release of the Cowabunga Collection, with plenty of fan service to go around. The Ninja Turtle goodies just keep on coming. It was revealed this past June that Shredder’s Revenge would be getting a DLC expansion. This was to be expected, as players have been clamoring for more ever since Shredder’s Revenge launched late last year.
Turtle fans were treated to a new movie, a collaboration with Street Fighter 6, and the reveal of the gritty 2020 Turtles miniseries, The Last Ronin, receiving a video game adaptation. This is the best timeline to be a Ninja Turtles fan.
The Dimension Shellshock expansion was revealed to be adding various updates to Shredder’s Revenge, including tons of fun colors for each character with nods to the 2003 Ninja Turtle’s color schemes, NES inspired colors, and many more! In addition to colors, we would also be getting a new game mode, and the long awaited return of every Ninja Turtle fan’s favorite samurai rabbit, Usagi Yojimbo. The announcement trailer explicitly stated that there were to be more than one newcomer to the roster. In today’s new trailer for Dimension Shellshock, we were treated to the reveal of Shredder’s granddaughter, Karai, as a playable character.
This looks to be another win for Ninja Turtle fans. Usagi Yojimbo has not been seen in action in quite some time, along with Karai. Their move sets look like a total blast. Luckily, we won’t have to wait too much longer to dine on turtle soup. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder’s Revenge - Dimension Shellshock DLC will launch August 31st on all platforms.
