A single-player offline experience coming Fall 2014.

Back in May, Maxis announced that their popular franchise, The Sims, would be continuing with The Sims 4. Little details were released, with an unspecific release date announced. At the time fans were left with an exciting, yet broad announcement: The Sims 4 would release in 2014.

After the debacle involving SimCity, Sims enthusiasts were comforted in knowing that The Sims 4 will be a single-player offline experience. Apparently EA knows not to make the same mistake twice.

Today some moderately exciting news was announced involving The Sims 4 release date. Devoted Simmers will be pleased to know that the release date for The Sims 4 became a little more specific this afternoon. The Sims 4 will be released in Fall 2014 on PC and Mac.

The Sims 4 digital deluxe is running for $69.99, with the Limited Edition priced at $59.99. Pre-order your copy from TheSims.com.
