Call of Duty: Black Ops III Modding Alpha Starting Soon

If you signed up for the closed Alpha for Call of Duty: Black 3 PC modding tools you should start checking your email.

Announced last month Treyarch confirmed that the invitations are going out soon. The developer confirmed that the Alpha would serve as the edifice for the Open Beta, which will go live in a few months.

"Preparing the tools for this kind of release takes an incredible amount of testing and iteration. We’re excited to have reached this milestone and to be able to provide the participants of our Closed Alpha this version of the Modding Tools to help us test them and lay the foundation for an Open Beta. Once we are able to analyze the results of the Closed Alpha, it’s our intention to kick off the subsequent Open Beta stage of testing in the following months."

The last game to offer modding tools in the Call of Duty franchise was World at World.

Call of Duty: Black Ops III is now available for Xbox 360, Xbox One, PS3, PS4, and PC.
