Watch 20 Minutes Of Ghost Recon Wildlands Gameplay

Need some Ghost Recon Wildlands to distract you? We got about 20 minutes worth.

Is today a bummer for you? Do you need something to distract you from political views you may or may not agree with? Well, strap in, because here’s a video with about 20 minutes of gameplay from the upcoming Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Wildlands, the latest in publisher Ubisoft’s open-world games.

There’s not much more to add, but for those truly uninitiated: A third-person perspective follows a player with a rifle in hand and people to kill. There’s some cover and crouching design in there as well, a map full of nodes with specific objectives and the free will to do these points at whim. A commentator also holds the viewer’s hand as they go over the playthrough, which shows a helicopter ride, weapon customization and good old outpost infiltration that will make you wonder if you’ve stumbled into another Far Cry release. Nope, just more Ubisoft open world goulash. It might even sprinkle a little of the latest Watch Dogs in there; just watch and find out.

Luckily, all these same-y features are the best Ubisoft can offer, these last few years. So at least it’s a quality rut to be stuck in. Chances are, you’re much more excited about this prospect than yours truly and for good cause. Ubisoft games are nothing if not facilitating to get carried away with.
