Back in February we were made aware that SteamWorld Dig 2 would debut on Nintendo Switch. In the meantime, PC and PS4 versions were announced and as of today, we also know when we'll get to dig beneath the ground again. As part of the Nintendo Nindies Showcase, a new trailer was shown and, by the looks of it, there've been a few additions to help with mobility, among other things.

SteamWorld Dig 2 will release on the Nintendo Switch on September 21st for the price of $19.99 or your regional equivalent. The PS4 and PC versions will release a few days later, with more details to come soon. SteamWorld Dig 2 will come with 10 hours of gameplay (more if you're a completionist) and a sprawling world players can explore at their own pace.

I also had a good time playing through the studio's previous effort, SteamWorld Heist. You can read my thoughts in our SteamWorld Heist Review.
