Looks like all the rumors were wrong, God of War is launching this April 20th on PS4.
The news comes with a new trailer that feature's the biggest chunk of information regarding the game's story. According to the trailer, the game will be much more personal than previous God of War games. Kratos attempting to bring his new wife's ashes to the High Speaking Rocks, Kratos teaching his son, and his past coming back to haunt him.
It would seem that his son has no idea of what Kratos has done in the past games, nor that he was once a god. Unlike past games, Kratos is more paternal and lever headed.
God of War will release on April 20th for PS4. A collector's edition has been confirmed that includes an exclusive statue and digital content.
