New Information On Square Enix Avengers Revealed

Back in January 2017 Square Enix and Marvel announced a brand new multi-game deal featuring The Avengers. Little is known about the project other than industry top talents were being hired for the project such as ex-Naughty Dog and Visceral Games staff, but new information has surfaced.

According to Wegotthiscovered, The Avengers Project will feature an original narrative with a service model similar to Destiny or EA's upcoming Anthem.

The tremendous progress we’ve made on The Avengers Project further drives us toward our goal of crafting something all Marvel fans will be proud of, and will play for years to come. We can’t wait to show you what we mean in the future.”

It seems that the Avengers project is becoming an MMO-type game with new updates being added over time. This might be hard for gamers since the service model, similar to loot boxes, have become a heavily criticized topic, especially considering how Destiny 2's post-launch content has divided the community.

Avengers is now in development with no release date.
