With BattleTech releasing next month, more details about the title are popping up. The latest "Basics" video delves into what happens when players aren't directing giant robots to punch other giant robots in the face. While outside of battle, players will have to repair, retrofit and upgrade mechs as well as take care of the Argo, the ship that takes them between star systems. BattleTech is an open ended game, so the choice of missions will rest with the player.
Events involving the crew can pop up where deciding whether to take a side, or ignore the situation will be required, every choice having its repercussions. But the management layer isn't isolated from the battles themselves, as the damage you deal during fights will affect salvage, which in turn affects the amount of available resources. You can check out the full video for all the information. BattleTech is set to release on PC, Mac and Linux next month. The title is currently available for pre-order for the price of 39,99€ or your regional equivalent.
