Ubisoft's Sci-Fi Game Teased in Watch Dogs 2 Has Been Canceled

Back when Watch Dogs 2 launched a special teaser was put into the game that had the player infiltrating the Ubisoft studio and revealing an actual in-development sci-fi game called Pioneer. Unfortunately, it has been canceled.

The news was broken by Tweets from Ubisoft staff, with creative director Alex Hutchinson placing the nail in the coffin.

Pioneer was an unknown title for many and no details have been provided since this teaser. This could mean that development for the title couldn't be troublesome and unable to franchise. Ubisoft has stated that the company only persues titles that can become franchises when talking to The A List Daily.
