Titanfall 2 was well-received but didn't' perform commercially due to EA's poor marketing campaign and launching the title alongside Battlefield 1. However, a new series has been teased by job listings from creator Respawn Entertainment and it seems that a new installment is on the way, but it's a battle royale game without Titans.
Sources who have played and have knowledge of the game confirm to me that Respawn is set to announce and release Apex Legends on Monday Feb 4, a free to play Titanfall Hero Battle Royale game for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.

Rumors started by Rod Breslau have indicated a battle royale free-to-play game based on the Titanfall which is supplemented by Kotaku's Jason Schreier. The game rumored to be called Apex Legends will capitalize on the battle royale popularity and will launch tomorrow according to the rumors. We'll have to wait and see if these rumors are true.
