Nintendo Confirms No New Nintendo Switch Model Coming in 2020

Recently, a new Nintendo Switch model was launched with the Nintendo Switch Lite and the base model having an improved better in all current consoles. However, rumors have been circulating about a "Pro" version of the system. To which Nintendo confirmed during a financial report that no such model will release this year.

Shuntaro Furukawa had to say about the possibility of a new Switch model.

“Regarding Nintendo Switch, we believe that it is important to continue to communicate the appeal of both Nintendo Swith systems and expand the installed base. Please note that we have no plans to launch a new Nintendo Switch Model during 2020.”

While no new model is launching Nintendo is launching an Animal Crossing themed model. And will likely release more models designed after popular franchises. We've already seen a Pokemon Sword and Shield and Super Mario Odyssey model.
