Microsoft Provides More Details on Xbox Series X and Loading Time Examples

Today Microsoft provided more details on the Xbox Series X. Providing more details about the specs and new examples of the system running.

Gears 5 was used as an example. With the game running on ultra PC settings. With higher resolution, textures, particle effects, and volumetric fog. With the game running at 60 fps and 4K.

Microsoft provided a short tech demo showing how the Xbox Series X can pause multiple games and resuming them with no issue. Shown was Ori and the Blind Forest, Forza Motorsport 7, The Cave, State of Decay 2, and Hellblade: Senua's Sacrifice. Players will also be able to pick up their latest starting point even if the console is turned off and turned back on. With the SSD storing the information.

Microsoft also showed off the new controller design. It looks very similar to the Xbox One controller with slight changes. The D-pad has 2 swappable designs similar to the Elite controller and the trigger and bumpers have dotted grips instead of just being smooth.

I'm skeptical, after all, I was one of the people who purchased the Xbox 360 when it first released. Never forget the Red Ring of Death. So let's see if the Xbox Series X will release and deliver everything that is promised this holiday season.
