We have confirmation on the next Battlefield title from EA!

EA just gave fans their first official glimpse of the next Battlefield game, slated for release between 2027 and 2030. Vince Zampella, founder of Respawn Entertainment and previously instrumental in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare's success, is now leading the project. The studio now promises to return to the series' roots, referring to when the Battlefield series was at its best with Battlefield 3 and 4.
You can look forward to 64-player maps and the return of traditional class systems. The game will be set across multiple studios: DICE is taking charge of multiplayer, Criterion is handling vehicle mechanics, Motive is leading the single-player campaign, and Ripple Effect is working on a free-to-play battle royale mode like Warzone. We've got an entire Avengers team of developers working on this next title.
Leaked information from insider Tom Anderson revealed that Battlefield will launch with 45 weapons (double that of Battlefield 2042) and around ten multiplayer maps. The game is also expected to feature serious environmental destruction, much like Rainbow Six Siege. EA hinted at a community event in 2025 to showcase more details, but a full launch by then remains uncertain. It's more likely to see the game released in 2026.
