Insomniac Games, the studio behind Spider-Man 2 and Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart, is getting ready for a big year in 2026.A LinkedIn profile of an Insomniac developer that has been shared a lot on Reddit has given us new information. This profile says that the studio is working on three big games at the same time right now. One of these is Marvel's Wolverine, which has already been confirmed. The other two are still a secret.

This news is similar to what project director Aaron Eberhart said in 2023 when she hinted in an interview that she was working on a game that had not yet been announced. At that point, Insomniac was already well into making Spider-Man 2 and Wolverine, which means the studio has been working on a lot of different things for a while.

Now that Spider-Man 2 is out, people are starting to think that the team is working on Spider-Man 3, which is probably one of the projects that haven't been announced yet. The second mystery game is still hard to find, but it might have something to do with other Marvel characters or franchises that Insomniac already owns.

A standalone Venom title is a strong candidate. There have been rumors in the past that a Venom game is in the works and might come out between 2025 and 2027. But there are also rumors that this game could be rushed out and surprise fans as soon as this year. However, industry insiders say that 2027 is a more likely time frame.

Insomniac has hinted at looking into a new multiplayer game as another option. Some fans were worried that the studio had cancelled their previous Spider-Verse multiplayer project, but new job postings have sparked interest again. One of these job postings asks for developers who have worked on both multiplayer and single-player game design. This has led to new theories about co-op play in Spider-Man 3 or even a brand-new multiplayer IP.

Fans have liked the idea of a "co-op mode" for Spider-Man 3. Spider-Man 2 had two main characters, Miles Morales and Peter Parker, which made it the perfect time for cooperative play. Even though it didn't happen in the last game, it's clear that people want it, and the most recent job postings show that it could happen in the next game.

Insomniac has a history of developing and releasing multiple AAA games in a short amount of time, which makes this ambitious plan seem possible. The studio has shown that it can make good content quickly, from Miles Morales in 2020 to Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart in 2021 and Spider-Man 2 in 2023.

Ratchet & Clank is another series that could come back. Insomniac has made a lot of games in the series, and fans are still talking about a sequel to Rift Apart. It's possible that a new Ratchet & Clank game could be one of the games coming out in 2026, based on how the studio has worked in the past and how long it takes them to make new games.

Insomniac Games is working at full speed, no matter what the mystery projects turn out to be, whether they are Venom, Ratchet & Clank, or something else. With early teasers and a darker, more adult tone than Spider-Man, Wolverine is already getting a lot of attention. 2026 could be another big year for the studio.

Fans are waiting for official word from Insomniac or its parent company, Sony Interactive Entertainment. In the meantime, these leaks and developer activity make it look like good things are coming. The studio's plan seems to mix popular characters with new ideas for gameplay modes, especially in multiplayer mode.

Insomniac is always pushing the limits of superhero storytelling in games, so the idea of running three big projects at once is ambitious but not new for the company. Their steady stream of high-quality work has made them a key part of the PlayStation 5's exclusive lineup, and now maybe even more.

The only confirmed title so far is Marvel's Wolverine, which is expected to give players a more realistic and gritty superhero experience. Wolverine is said to have intense melee combat, cinematic storytelling, and an R-rated tone. It will set the stage for the other two games and show off Insomniac's range even more.

Since there are no official release dates for any of the three games yet, fans have to put together clues from job postings, interviews, and leaks. But one thing is clear: Insomniac Games is betting big on 2026, and if history is any guide, it could be a massive win for them.

As the studio hires more people in all departments and the game gets closer to being finished, things may become clearer in the coming months. Until then, excitement is growing, and expectations have never been higher.
