PlayStation Leak The Last of Us Remake Release Date

Sony’s PlayStation Direct site has leaked a PlayStation 5 version of The Last of Us. A remake of Naughty Dog's critically acclaimed title has been rumored for a while now and news of the remake comes as no surprise to fans of the game. Since releasing in 2013 The Last of Us has been widely regarded as one of the best video games of its era. Combining thrilling gameplay, an exciting and emotional story, and a terrifying, stunning post-apocalyptic landscape; the game is among PlayStation's most esteemed titles and was previously remastered in 2014 for the PlayStation 4. 2022s sequel The Last of Us: Part 2 was similarly well received with praise for its detailed world and improvements in gameplay; however its story and characters were marred in controversy upon release.
 

 

Two versions of The Last of Us remake (now subtitled Part 1) look like they will be released in September 2022, the Standard Edition for a reported $69.99 and the Firefly Edition for $99.99. The Firefly Edition, named after one of the games’ post-apocalyptic factions, reportedly includes a steel book case, in-game rewards, and copies of The Last of Us: American Dreams comic series.

The Last of Us: Part 1 releases on September 2nd for PlayStation 5 and is also in development for PC.
