An update coming to Xbox and PC will enable the feature

An Xbox press release has revealed that an update to Hitman 3 will enable ray tracing on Xbox Series X and S. The update will also subsequently come to PC.

Speaking on the topic, IO Interactive CTO Maurizio de Pascale had this to say about Microsoft's next-generation hardware:
“It’s great that the GPU in the Series X|S has hardware support for Ray-Tracing. We’ve already started working on RT technology for the renderer in our Glacier engine, and once that’s deemed ready for prime time, we’ll definitely bring it to the Series X|S hardware.”
All three Hitman games within the trilogy run in the Glacier Engine, with the third entry seeing upgrades to the lighting system. The lighting for Hitman 1 and 2 was also upgraded to match the latest title.
It'll be interesting to see how much the already improved visuals look with the addition of ray tracing technology, and how the Series X and Series S will cope with it.
Hitman 3 is now available now for Xbox One, Playstation 4, Xbox Series X and S, Playstation 5, Nintendo Switch, Google Stadia, and PC.
