Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora puts you in a huge environment where you can get ahead by being smart about how you travel, build stuff, and battle. The first few hours can feel easy or hard, depending on the choices you make early on.
This easy guide helps you get around quickly, survive fights, and make better gear while you are in the Western Frontier.
Push the story early to unlock Ikran travel
It's fun to explore on foot, but it's a lot easier after you get to know Ikran, who is also known as a Mountain Banshee. It takes some time for that unlock to happen, so it's best to focus on the primary tasks first. Side quests will still be there, and travel becomes much faster after the bond is complete.

Power up quickly with Ancestor Skills and core upgrades
You can't buy Ancestor Skills with regular points. You can connect with Eywa in certain places to open them, and they can quickly change how you move and fight. A double jump is available early on, and more choices become available when the player unlocks the wider map.
These skill unlocks also grant extra points, so they are one of the best early upgrades. Skill trees are split into categories like health, offense, stealth, crafting, and mounts, with the mount tree opening after Ikran is unlocked.
It is typically better to invest in the most useful upgrades first because they help you make steady progress.
Move faster by using Pandora's natural traversal tools
The space is meant to make people want to move artistically. Running through Mist Bloom makes you faster, and many roots and paths in the world help you move faster. Vines often act like ziplines, and grabbing them early keeps the speed up.
Large fungi can launch you, or cushion falls, and huge leaves can reduce fall damage. Water landings are not always ideal because jumping out is not possible, so climbing out requires finding the right edge.

Survive combat by staying hidden, mobile, and prepared
You can hit hard, but your defense isn't great, so taking fire in the open can end fights fast. If an RDA base is informed, it's good to be quiet and keep moving. Do some healing before you go into dirty areas, because you can't gather plants that are close by until you clear the base.
Dapophet Pods are often found near water and can fix you. First Aid Kits inside bases can refill supplies. Food can also heal, and it helps as a backup when you don't have any items.
More base health makes things safer, so the health-focused path and Bellsprig Plants are good early choices to help keep players from getting frustrated.
Follow the white indicator to find key upgrades faster
A white dot marker emerges near important things you can interact with and moves when you turn. When it turns into a circle, Na'vi Vision can help you find the exact spot. This leads to useful discoveries, such as Tarsyu saplings and Bellsprig plants, which help with larger builds and faster progress.

Craft better gear by harvesting clean and managing inventory smartly
Quality matters. Conditions can affect when to collect a plant, and many gathers become pristine when the pull is done right. Clean catches are worth the work because better materials make better gear and better food.
The inventory room is still limited, so it's best to keep only what you know you'll use. It is better to give extra resources to clans because it boosts their image and turns excess resources into long-term progress.
Use Clan reputation like currency and claim Mail rewards early
You can earn vendor products with your clan's reputation, but using them diminishes your total, so be careful with your purchases. Still, it's a good idea to check the vendors, as they sometimes include gifts and important unlocks.
If an edition bonus exists, claiming it early helps, and these items are collected through Mail in the character menu rather than appearing automatically.
Clear RDA areas quietly with the Hacking Tool
The Hacking Tool can be used for secret clears by working with RDA tech. It can be helpful to store hacks instead of using them right away to get fewer alerts. Also, performing many hacks at once can keep enemies from responding quickly.
The reticle also helps locate hackable objects, and it becomes more precise as it shifts toward a circle.
