A locked door is waiting at the top. Use the Secret Key to open it. Once the door is unlocked, step into the next room and look for a display-style setup. The Prototype Weapon is placed inside this room and can be collected immediately.

Where the Prototype Weapon Is Inside the Mansion

The pickup is hard to miss once the door is open. The Prototype Weapon is presented as a special reward, typically positioned where you naturally look after entering the room. After grabbing it, the What's This? The trophy requirement should be satisfied.
