Understanding Staff Transfer and Dismissal

In Dave the Diver, transferring staff is handled through the Dismiss option. In earlier versions of the game, this feature was labeled as Transfer, but both options serve the same purpose. When you dismiss a staff member, you effectively remove them from your restaurant and receive a portion of the gold you originally spent on hiring and upgrading them. This system allows you to adjust your team as your restaurant grows or your strategy changes.

How to Dismiss Staff from Your Sushi Bar

To dismiss a staff member, you need to open the Staff menu inside your sushi bar. From there, select the employee you want to remove. Choose the Dismiss option, and the game will show you a detailed summary. This includes the staff member’s skills, a short quote reflecting how they felt about working at the bar, and the exact amount of gold you will get back after dismissal. Once confirmed, the staff member is removed from your team.

Rehiring Dismissed Staff

You can still use a staff member after firing them, but you can't use them again. If you put up another help-wanted ad later in the game, you can hire the same person again. This lets you move your staff around without losing access to certain workers in the long term.
